Subj: Hi from Jean in Nevada
Hi Bruce,
First I want to say what a pleasure it was to meet you in Cincinnati. I also wanted to tell you - after those first series of presentations of which you were a part, the first thing the mediator asked at the next roundtable I went to was: "Which presentation did you like the most?" Without hesitation from two different parts of the room "Bruce Matthews!" was shouted out. I know you said this was your first time, but I thought you would like to know this - I was not the only one who enjoyed it!
Don't get me wrong - I enjoy all the technical, analytical presentations just fine, but I think you touched a compassionate cord within us all. The bottom line of why we are all there doing such hard work? - for the welfare of the horse.
Anyway - it took me a while to get around to watching your DVD - Thank you so very much for the gift! And I immediately thought of two clients who could use it. I think one of them might have contacted you yesterday? It was outstanding! You covered SO much - even the simple things like wrapping the rope around your hand, which so many of us take for granted not to do - but not everyone knows that......An excellent educational DVD - totally relates to anyone who wants to inprove their horsemanship skills - and keep their farriers happy...
So thanks a ton - I will definitely be recommending it to more folks.

I was one of those farriers that disliked the thought of large horses. Then I saw how Bruce successfully used his technique on a 6 year old Belgian mare that had never been trimmed before. I've since utilized his methods and found them painless for the horse and simple to do!Ken Norman AFA #3001, VP & Co-Founder of Vermont Farriers AssociationBruce,I just wanted to thank you again for working with Tess and I. I am so glad that you agreed to work with us. I also wanted to report that my 120 lb 13 yr old daughter went into Tess's stall and asked her for her hoof and Tess stood there and picked it up for her and held it.I am wondering about your DVD:) Is this a horsemanship training DVD?ThanksStacy Katon(Tess is a 5 yr old. belgian mare who came to the above person with a history of not being able to handle or trim her hooves. When she was vetted, the owner was told she would need to be tranked to do her hooves, by the vet !!!)1/2 half an hr. working her as instructed in my DVD and the above e-mail to me is the results.Bruce MatthewsNortheast DrafthorseshoeingInstructional DVD on teaching a draft to stand quiet for the farrier or vet.
