Dear Cindy,
We'd like to
thank you for
the terrific
job you've done
with Star -
he's a changed
horse!
The time and work
you've put
in, and the care
you've given
him show
through in so
many ways.
We love the
"diary" you've
kept while
training him, and
know that it
will prove
helpful
to us as we continue
to work
with Star on our
own.
On another
note, though
very happy
for you
personally,
we are sad that
you'll be
moving away from
the
area. I know that Star,
like
us, will miss you very
much and that
it will be
difficult, if
not impossible,
to find
another trainer
like you!
Sincerely,
Ann-Marie

Cindy
has a real gift with
horses.
I believe her when
she
says, "I never met a
horse
I didn't like".
She's
the first trainer I
have
worked with who
was
able to explain in detail
what
she was asking
from
a horse while she
was
working with them.
I've
learned a great deal
from
Cindy and I stll have
a
great deal to learn!

Cindy has a true
gift with horses and extreme patience with in-experienced owners.
As new owners,
She has taught us to communicate with our horses in a positive way
that we all understand.
By quickly
obtaining a positive dominance with kindness and a gentle hand. Cindy
has guided our 5 yr. old LuLu who was eager to learn, but had a short
attention span, into a position where she was under saddle within 6
hrs. of work. With no negative response.
Her detailed
diary allowed us to follow her work on days we weren't able to be there.
You will find
Cindy to be everything you're looking for in a gentle trainer for the
horse and the owners.
We look
forward to continuing our work with Cindy.
Sincerely,
Cindy Green

Howdy there Cindy,
You really are an asset with what you have to offer, even to the
"backyard horse people". Your, " Your horse, I
travel " method is a wonderful thing that others find to be an
important factor in your training program. You allow the owner
to be able to watch you work their horse(s), and to see the treatment
and handling of the horse(s) at all times. By telling you their
problem areas and habits, you are able to work through the situations
in a safer and more productive manner. It doesn't seem to bother you
what breeds or ages they are, you feel them out and move them along
to get them another step ahead. You have not only taught my horse(s),
you have also allowed me to learn. Even when I ask questions, you let
me know what you are aiming towards and it makes it easier for when I
do the same things with the animal. I recommend) you to others that
are looking for a horse trainer/riding instructor. They always come
back and say thank you to me for pointing them in your direction, and
say "she really knows her stuff" and that they are very
happy with you.

This letter is
for everyone out there that Loves their horse. and wants to enjoy
their horse, not have a
tug-o-war,
every time you ride off into the sunset.
In April my
fiancé and I went to a horse auction and tack sale. I
had promised not to buy a horse, so off we went. Well,
the first thing I saw is a wonderful Paint colt . I did my best
not to say I wanted him. But, low and behold my

in love with him! Now what am I going to do with a stud
colt, when I have 2 mares. ? Well, to make a
long story short, we bought him. I've been
around horses all my life having grown up in Northern
California. I did raise my Black Arabian (Fancy)and did
the ground work and 1st ride. I even did a rescue horse: my
Gray Arabian (Semaja) but sad to say. I lost in Jan. 2003,
after a wonderful partner ship of 14 years. But, to work
with a stud colt I thought I might need some help as this guy we
now call (Apache), was a big hand full.! And somewhere
along the line he was handled "hard". I
met Cynthia Hackett, sometime back last year, and
had heard good things about her training skills. I believe in
word of mouth. Where I grew up in horse country that
stands the test of time - good or bad- it stays with you.
Now I had to see for myself the way in which she worked
with horses. I asked many questions, and after
seeing her work a few horses We asked her to stop
by our farm.
We wanted a
trainer that had the understanding of "partnership"
not "breaking". She did one session with Apache as a
stud colt and we knew she was the one for him. When
we asked her to be present when we had the vet geld him,
she was right there, ready to help. When you have
her train your horse you learn so much from her. She will tell
you everything she is doing and why. Any questions you ask
she always has an answer. You are right there and can see
everything she is doing. She will even help you do it yourself,
if you want to. You don't have to worry about what went on
with your horse when you are not there. Trainer? You
get more than just a trainer when she works with your horse. You see
the horse language one on one and the understanding and
partnership, that will last a lifetime-For you and your
horse. What more could you want? Western or English she
does it all.
Cynthia
Hackett, in my book is (The Best) . I wouldn't say
this if I didn't believe it.
Thank you
Cynthia for what you do, the time, effort and kindness you
put into your work shows. Your coming "to the horse"
shows your dedication. Don't miss out on her, and her natural
ability.Give yourself and your horse a gift Invite her over and
see for yourself.
It's the best thing
you can do!
Apache thanks you.

For 3 years I had
taken my two young horses to trainers. There were ups and downs
in the training process, but in the end, my horses always came home
to me and I was ill-equipped to take over where the trainer left
off. As a result, I resigned myself to the fact that I
had two pricey pasture ornaments.
Unwilling to give up on riding, I decided I would buy a horse
already trained. I just wanted to do some trail riding. I
bought a horse that, I was told, was used in a child's lesson program
and was great on trails. He was jittery during mounting
but seemed fine otherwise. During the first three months of
owning him he bolted a
number of times and
eventually bucked another rider off. For two more years I
enjoyed watching my 3 pasture ornaments.
Then I happened upon Cindy Hackett's web site and I found hope for
me and my horses. She would come to us. She would help me
work with my horses. That made sense since I needed as much
help as my horses. I
emailed Cindy and
she agreed to come.
After working with each one, Cindy rode each horse the first day she
came. Remarkable! My horses understand her, respect
her, and like her. She is firm and kind. She spends
as much time with me as she does with my horses. Finally, I am
in training too. Cindy reveals her
training techniques
and asks me to practice them with my horses. How different this
is compared to the trainers who trained my horses for themselves and
then handed them back to me.
Cindy went the extra mile when she made a point of looking into the
history of my horse with the mounting jitters. She found
out he was bred as a bucking horse and used in rodeos
before his short stint as a lesson horse. (He is the horse in
the photo.) Now we understand his anxiety and she is helping
him and me through it. My other green horses
have already been
ridden by others and I have ridden my former bucking horse a couple
of times. Because of Cindy, I have new goals for my horses and for me.
Cindy looks at each of my horses as individuals. She wants to
know each one as I know them. She wants me to know what she
discovers about each of them. I cannot say enough about the
difference she has made.

Cindy is very
knowledgeable about horses and their temperaments and has a calm
confident approach to working with horses. Cindy is an
excellent riding instructor for the fearful 40+ rider (which is the
age group I fit into). During my lessons with her it became obvious
to me that she has had much experience in dealing with riders' fears
as she truly understands the dilemma that the nervous rider
oftentimes faces. She supplied me with the necessary tools and
techniques that enabled me to be a more confident rider and horse
handler. I would highly recommend Cindy to anyone seeking
instruction with regards to handling problem horses, or instruction
for beginner or advanced riders seeking to improve their skills.
Cindy is a very friendly, pleasant and easy to communicate with.

Cindy is amazing.
She is a great teacher because she has so much patience with the
kids&ldots;but mostly because her love for Horses and passion for
riding is so obvious it just rubs off on the kids and makes them want
to learn. My 7 year old son who had never ridden a horse, was
cantering by his 4th lesson. She gave him so much confidence in
his abilities and control, he felt he could do anything! This
is very unusual for my Son he is usually very cautious and
fearful of new things. Cindy was just amazing with him and he
now has a new passion thanks to her. Cindy is so patient she
even had my 2 year old in the saddle saying whoa and
wiggle wiggle to make the horse stop and go. It was
just fantastic to watch her work with them. I cant recommend
Cindy highly enough.
