Colt Starting	Axtell,KS Need a horse broke? I use natural horsemanship influenced by trainers such as, John Lyons, Clinton Anderson and others, including my own methods. In 30 days I take the colt as far as I think he needs to go, but dont like to push them too far. At the end of the month I have the colt loping circles, stopping, backing, giving to the bit nice and soft and other basics. I like to train out on the trail alot, so I use natural obsticals such as creeks, logs, uneven ground and cows to earn the colt trust. I do alot of desenitizing, getting the horse used to being touched anywhere and picking up its feet. I like to use the round pen for the first few rides, then I move out to the arena and the trail. HUNTER JUMPER  TRAINER INSTRUCTOR	Scranton,SC    My name is Brian Heath, I have recently opened a new sales and training barn in Scranton, SC, at the MUD BUG INN, this is about 1 hour southwest of Myrtle Beach, and is conviently located for shows put on by several different jumper organizations, including NCHJA, SCHJA, PSJ (Progressive Show Jumping), Rush Management, and only 5 hours from Ocala, FL for the winter circuit. We also have several dressage shows in the area.        I know my name isn't Vale or Goldstein-Engle, but I don't have the fees associated with them either. I can also go to the same shows.    We specialize in the hunter/jumper ring, but do have experience with dressage horses. I have over 30 years showing jumpers, in the hunter ring, and jumpers up to level 5-6. but have also trained with Gwen Stockebrand, a member of the 1980 Goodwood Olympic dressage team. Where I was riding up to PSG and have shown to 2nd level.     The facility here is a 13 stall private facility, where I am the resident trainer. We are completely fenced in with NO CLIMB fence, and a security gate at the entrance. With only 13 stalls though I am going to have to be selective as to the horses I take in.     I would be interested in taking horses on consignment for sale with your cost being $350 per month board , and show expenses. If the horse wins money at the shows, I will get 50% of the prize money, as a training and showing fee. The commission for selling the horse will be 10% to myself.     Depending on the price you have set on your horse, I might be able to sell the horse for a higher price. For example, a level 5 jumper in IN might be priced at $10,000, because of the miniprix’s in this area for horses at that level, the value might be greater.
