DKD QUARTER HORSES
is located 60 miles south of the wonderful city of Montreal Quebec,
Canada. Just off exit 36 of the Adirondack Northway 87 and on
the beautiful shores of Lake Champlain. DKD QUARTER HORSES with
it's 26 acres, makes for an ideal place to train, raise and just
enjoy horses. Corina Downs and her daughter Erika Kollinger
invite you to stop in when you are in the area, whether it is to
purchase a horse, lessons, training, or just to say hello and enjoy
the love of horses, all are welcome. |
Corina
M. Downs
Corina M Downs was born in the UK,
moved to the US in 1962 and has been invloved with horses all her
life. Although she has had many really good horses of other
breeds, her passion is Quarter Horses.

Corina Downs, Member of AQHA
Professional Horsemen
Her beloved horse "The Artfull
Dodger" has been the horse that put her on the map. He has
always given his all, and they made an unbeatable team, placing at
the American Quarter Congress and winning many AQHA All Arounds.
"Art" not only carried Corina but also was the first horse
her daughter Erika showed AQHA.He carried Erika through many youth
classes. Erika went on to show her horse Izzyamito to many AQHA
All Arounds, along with many other quarter horses. Erika was
born in Plattsburgh, and has been riding all her life. She is a very
accomplished rider and teacher, her students are always in the
ribbons, and she also donates a lot of her time to the 4H children
making sure that they get a correct start.
DKD QUARTER HORSES' goal is
to not only teach children and adults to ride but to make it fun as
well as a learning experience.
Erika
L. Kollinger
Erika has shown AQHA through her youth
years and has gained the experience and knowledge that is needed to
be an excellent instructor and trainer. Erika has ridden all of
her life, she started showing The Artfull Dodger in walk/trot, and
graduated from there to showing in many different classes.
Erika has the drive that it takes for students to learn. With drive,
years of experience as a youth rider and the quarter horses that we
use, it makes for a winning combination. Erika's students are
always in the ribbons,
and have alot of fun with the horses. |
