November Newsletter It's that time of year again. Cold weather, frenzied shopping, and lots of relatives (some good, some maybe not quite so desired). :) Adirondack Tack is here to help with the first two items! You're on your own for the third. :) First off, we've extended our hours for the holiday season. Adirondack Tack will be open Mondays through Saturdays, 10am - 6pm and Sundays noon to 4pm from now until Christmas. As for the cold weather, we can't change it, but we have clothing to keep you warm in it. Check out our Mountain Horse paddocks and tall boots, both the Rimfrost and Ice versions. Also, we have Ariat Arctic boots, tall and paddock, to keep your tootsies warm. Inside the boots, get a pair of Polartec socks or wool blend Icelandic socks. Kerrits has their usual wonderful line of winter wear, including the Quilted K Jacket, Precip Jacket, adorably cute hoofprint sweater, Powerstretch fleece breeches, warm long johns with a great horse design (the bottoms are knickers so you can wear them with your tall boots), wool blend socks, headbands, and their ever popular soft and cozy zip neck tops. This year's Kerrits colors are black, stone (great for hiding dirt), and huckleberry. Devon-Aire's winter line also has a berry color theme this year. We have their Polartec WindPro vests and riding tights. These have 4x the wind resistance than traditional fleece. They're warm without weight, water repellent, breathable, durable, and machine washable. What more could you ask for? In addition to these, we have their Powerstretch tights, earmuffs that fit under a helmet, riding mittens, and Polartec socks. SSG has several styles of winter gloves and riding mittens, and the ever popular Heatrac gloves are in stock too. Don't forget about your horse during the cold weather. Our selection of Shires blankets is starting to shrink, so come in soon for the best selection. Also keep in mind that water intake goes down in the winter and that is a bad thing. Avoid vet bills and heartache and keep that water from freezing with heated buckets and stock tank heaters. If you're looking for a great gift, come on it and check out our faux suede jackets from Panhandle Slim. They're gorgeous and on sale until Christmas. Or if faux suede is not your style, we have canvas mens winter jackets and matching boys vests on sale too. And to go under that jacket, check out our Western shirt selection. All long sleeve snap or button Western shirts are on sale until Christmas! What a deal! :) Of course we haven't forgotten about the kids. We have a large selection of Bella Sara cards. These have been quite the hit. If you don't know what they are, just ask the nearest 10 year old girl. :) After you're done with all of your shopping and wrapping and entertaining, who wants to cook? No one. So stop on into the store in the next 2 weeks to order Little Caesar's pizza kits (also breadsticks, cookie dough, and pie!). Why are we selling these do you ask? Well, it's a fundraiser for the Lake Champlain Appaloosa Club.
